On April 21, 2022 an international seminar was held on the topic “Sustainable planning as the basis for the development of the tourism industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan”. The event was held by the Eurasian Tourism Association within the framework of the project “MOST- Model for Sustainable Tourism in Central Asia: Capacity Building, Awareness Raising, Technology Implementation” of the European Union SwithAsia program.
Recommendations were given on the implementation of sustainable planning practices in terms of introducing green procurement, stimulating the passage of environmental certifications and accreditations in the field of tourism, and increasing competencies in the field of sustainable production.
